Anthony and Kristine Giraulo have been the proud owners of The Grist Mill Restaurant for over twelve years. Their love for great food and drink is evident in all aspects of the restaurant. The inviting atmosphere allows the guests to share the owners' passion and take part in a truly unique dining experience. The menu samples traditional cuisine from various regions of Italy, France, and the Mediterranean, while the Chef's nightly features celebrate modern culinary ideas. An extensive wine list offers the perfect complement to your meal - just ask any member of the staff for a suggestion. If you are in the mood for something lighter, The Grist Mill also features a seperate menu and Happy Hour selection in the restaurant's Tavern.
With over 46 years in the industry, Anthony does not consider his restaurant as a business - it's more like his lifestyle. After fraduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Anthony entered the restaurant industry and hasn't look back since. From Head Chef at Le Chavellier in Manhattan to kitchen design and GM at The Salty Dog in Huntington Bay, he's held nearly every position in a restaurant, helping him gain the experience to perfect his craft. In 2003, Anthony was honored as a Maitre Rotisseur in the esteemed Chaine des Rotisseurs dining society. It is uder this banner where he serves as the Vice Conseiller Culinaire, whose expertise is pairing food and beverage. He shares his experience through the various Wine and Scotch Tastings that are often hosted at The Grist Mill.
